Simone Biles is a rare gem in gymnastics. Since 2013 she has completely dominated her sport, becoming the most decorated American gymnast, with 19 medals and the first American woman to win fourteen world championship medals.
Born on March 14th, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio, who knew that this girl, Simone Biles, would become one of the best gymnast of all time. She was born into a family with a drug and alcohol addicted mother, so by the age of 3 she and her sister left their mother and moved in with her maternal grandfather and his wife.
Her first involvement in gymnastics started after a field trip to a gymnastics center. According to USA Gymnastics, “I imitated the other gymnasts, and Coach Ronnie noticed. The gym sent home a letter requesting that I join tumbling or gymnastics.” That was only the beginning of her career, much more to come.
Her games at Rio have really defined her as one of the best gymnast in the US .Simone Simone is part of the the team called the Final Five during the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. During the US Olympic Trials she hit a nearly perfect score of 16.200 on her vault. Moving up in the trials, she made it to the Rio Games. Her performance during the Rio games were stellar usually including her signature move, The Biles: a double-flip with a half-twist. . Though there were some tumbles and mishaps, she stayed focused and continued, ranking gold in 3 out of 4 of her events: vault, (15.866) beam, (15.433) and floor. (15.933) (ranked bronze in uneven bars)
Aside from her games in Rio, she has won many other championships as well. Since 1974 she has been the first female gymnast to win four consecutive all-around titles at the US national champions. She also has won the all-around world champion three years in a row, outranking many in difficulty and skill.
Currently she has joined the 24th season of Dancing with the Stars, paired with Sasha Farber. Her latest dance portrays her most memorable year, 2000 when her
